Saturdays & Sundays, October 3, 10, 23 & 30 โ€“ Dee of St. Maryโ€™s Public Sail 2:30 p.m. โ€“ 4:30 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon sail on the Dee of St. Maryโ€™s, leaving from the museum dock. Fee is $25 for ages 13 and up, $15 for children 5 โ€“ 12. No children under 5, please. Preregister by noon on the Friday before each cruise at www.calvertmarinemuseum.com/238/Dee-of-St-Marys-Cruises

Thursdays, October 7 & 14 โ€“ Sea Squirts: Dino-Power, The Mighty Dinosaurs 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Children 18 months to 3 years, with an adult, are invited to discover the museum together through music, stories, and special activities. Join us for story time and a carryout craft, available while supplies last. Sessions are 25-40 minutes. Capacity is limited. No pre-registration: sign up at the Admissions Desk when you arrive.

Saturday, October 9 โ€“ Patuxent River Appreciation Day (PRAD) 10:00 a.m. โ€“ 7:30 p.m.
The museum is open and FREE to the public. Festivities include food vendors, live music, boat rides, childrenโ€™s activities, and local vendors. This yearโ€™s event will contain a weekendโ€™s worth of fun, all in one day, with extended hours and a River Party from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Local bands Wylder and Robbie Boothe will perform live at the PNC Waterside Pavilion beginning at 5 p.m. Find more information for the day on our Facebook page or at www.calvertmarinemuseum.com/PRAD.

Friday, October 15 โ€“ Fossil Identification Day 10:00 a.m. โ€“ 4:00 p.m.
Today when you visit the museum, bring along your unknown fossil finds. CMM staff will have a station set up in the lobby for fossil identification!

Saturday, October 16 โ€“ CMM Volunteer Council Yard Sale 8:00 a.m. โ€“ 4:00 p.m.
Sponsored by our Volunteer Council, proceeds from this yearโ€™s yard sale will go toward renovations of the Drum Point Lighthouse. The yard sale will be in the museum parking lot and on the PNC Waterside Pavilion stage.

Wednesday, October 20 โ€“ CMM Members Save 20%
Museum members enjoy a 20% discount in the Museum Store, today, and on the 20th of every month.

Thursdays, October 21 & 28 โ€“ Little Minnows: I Dig Dinosaurs 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
This program focuses on one of the museumโ€™s three themes. Preschoolers ages 3 โ€“ 5, with an adult, are invited to join us for story time and a craft you can do on-site or take home, available while supplies last. Sessions are 25-40 minutes. Thursday, October 21 โ€“ Sharks! Sink Your Teeth In! Lecture Series 7 p.m. โ€“ 8 p.m.
The third in a four-part lecture series paired with the museumโ€™s newest exhibit, โ€œMegalodon: Apex Predatorโ€ is given by Dr. Stephen Godfrey, Curator of Paleontology at the Calvert Marine Museum. The lecture is free, open to the public, and will be held in the museumโ€™s Harms Gallery.

Explore how the prehistoric past, natural environments, and maritime heritage come to life and tell a unique story of the Chesapeake Bay. The Calvert Marine Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a timed entry system. Admission is $9 for adults; $7 for seniors, military with valid I.D, AAA and AARP members; $4 for children ages 5 – 12; children under 5 and museum members are admitted free.
