On April 27 at 10:50 a.m., Officer B. Cox initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Charles Street in La Plata.
Upon making contact with the driver, a strong odor of marijuana was detected. Further investigation revealed a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car.
Sadie Temitayo Lawal, 24, of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
