Brandywine Md.– On March 25 at 6:21 p.m., officers responded to the 16000 block of Woodville Road in Brandywine for the report of a car crash. Investigation showed the driver of a Toyota sedan was traveling south on Woodville Road when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. All three occupants of the car were transported to a hospital where one of the passengers, Mary Proctor, 71, of Brandywine, was pronounced deceased. The driver, 48, and another passenger – a 26-year-old woman – both from Brandywine, were treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. Master Corporal J. Hopkins of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
