Brandywine, MD – On June 7 at approximately 11:09 p.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police (MSP) Forestville Barrack were dispatched to the area of southbound MD Route 301 at McKendree Road, for a report of a motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, Troopers found a 2013 Honda Motorcycle had collided with a 1999 Toyota Tacoma. The operator of the Honda sustained traumatic injuries from the collision. The driver, identified as Amber D. Reese, 32 of Waldorf, was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma where she was later pronounced deceased by doctors. Reese’s next of kin was notified of her death.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Reese was traveling southbound on MD Route 301, when the Honda collided with the Toyota which was disabled in the roadway. Due to the severity of the collision, a member of MSP’s Crash Team was contacted and is investigating the collision. Southbound MD Route 31 was partially shut down for approximately three hours.
