ST. LEONARD, MD – The St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department (Company 7) reported that crews were dispatched Thursday, June 18 around 3:33 p.m. to a motor vehicle accident on St. Leonard Road.
According to Company 7 Captain Thomas Buckmaster, a vehicle crashed head-on into a tree and one motorist was trapped inside. Crews extricated the motorist, who was flown by Maryland State Police Trooper 7 to a local trauma center.
The crash remains under investigation. The name of the injured motorist has not been released.
