Hollywood, MD – If you are the kind of person who bends over to pick discarded coins—including pennies, your frugal nature just might prove profitable. According to Fortune Magazine, Ally Bank’s holding company, Ally Financial, announced Tuesday, Oct. 18 that it has placed 100 “penny-like coins with the company’s logo” in 10 U.S. cities. Each ‘penny’ is worth $1,000.
Ally officials stated each penny will be placed around landmarks unique to the city. The promotion is being conducted to encourage customers to routinely save money. “We believe every penny counts when it comes to saving,” said Ally Financial CEO Diane Morais.
Clues as to where the pennies are located will be offered on Ally’s web site and Twitter page.
