UPDATE: Preliminary investigation revealed, Mark Kyle Jones, age 25, of Leonardtown, was traveling northbound on Piney Point Road in a 1998 Honda Accord, when for unknown reasons, his vehicle left the roadway and overturned into a utility pole. Jones was located deceased in the vehicle.
Valley Lee, MD— At approximately 1:36 a.m., police, fire, and rescue were altered to a serious motor vehicle accident in the area of Piney Point Road and Dryden Road.
Upon arrival, they found a single vehicle overturned into an electric pole. The operator of the motor vehicle had succumbed to the injuries from the accident.
