Prince Frederick, MD – Calvert Hospice was the recipient of a $ 1,000 donation from proceeds of the Paint, Pizza, & Wine party put on by Blue Brush Art Studio and Exelon Corporation hosted at the Brick Wood Fired Bistro on December 13. The event was a huge success with over 40 participants from Exelon, Calvert Hospice, and the community. Participants could decorate two ornaments, two vases, or two glasses with various designs. Cindy Morgan Chambers of Blue Brush Art Studio provided all materials and instruction.
Jean Fleming, Executive Director of Hospice adds, “This was the second ‘paint night’ that Calvert Hospice has been a part of and both times we’ve been so pleased with how much fun everyone had throughout the evening. We are particularly appreciative of all the planning and support from Exelon that brought people together for this latest event. Friends and families came together to enjoy each other’s company, create personal mementos, savor good food, and share special memories.
These are special nights and we are grateful to Blue Brush, the Brick, and the Calvert Chamber of Commerce for making them possible, and for allowing our programs and services to benefit from the proceeds. We look forward to making “Paint Nights” a tradition for Calvert Hospice in the new year!”
