On May 16 at 12:51 a.m., a Charles County Sheriff’s officer initiated a traffic stop near St. Marks Drive and Wakefield Circle in Waldorf after observing a male passenger trying to get in the driver’s seat while the car was being driven by someone else.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the passenger became combative and indicated he had just used crack cocaine, PCP, and other drugs.
The officer arrested the man, Jason Butler Nichols, 25 of Waldorf, and charged him with possession of drugs after crack cocaine was found in his clothing.
Officer K. Lerch made the arrest.
