At 12:48 a.m. on April 8, a vehicle was stopped on MD Rt. 925 at Smallwood Drive for a traffic violation by of TFC Collins the La Plata trooper barrack.
The driver, Nicholas Troy Rosenbaum, 20, of Waldorf, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
A search of his person revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A search of the vehicle revealed suspected marijuana and a scale under the passenger’s seat.
The passenger, Dustin James Langley, 21, of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rosenbaum was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
