Passenger Charged for Loose Crack Rocks in Car

At 3:17 a.m. Aug. 12, TFC Quade stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 235 at Clarks Landing Road in Hollywood.

The driver, Arthur Berry Allan, 52, of Great Mills, was arrested for DUI.

During a search incident to arrest, a smoking device containing cocaine was located between the passenger seat and center console. Two crack cocaine “rocks” were found under the passenger side floor mat.

The passenger, 44-year-old Francis Matthew Scriber, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Allan was charged only with DUI.  Both were taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.
