A Public Information Meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 24, at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall in Lexington Park to discuss the proposed improvements to the Patuxent Park Subdivision.
Proposed improvements will be discussed and will include: roads, drainage, sidewalks, storm drainage, stormwater management devices, and water/sewer lines for Phase 1 of this project. Phase 1 improvements will include the following roads: Midway Drive (from MD 246 to Bunker Hill Road), Bunker Hill Road, Princeton Road and Gambier Place; including sewer relining work on North Essex Drive by the Metropolitan Commission. The meeting will also discuss project funding and scheduling for all phases of the project.
The costs of the contemplated water and sewer improvements for Phase 1, including the sewer relining work on North Essex Drive, are $1,116,119. These costs will not result in an increase on the sewer and water charges currently being paid by the St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission. Further, the plans for the water and sewer improvements may be inspected at the office of the St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission located at 43990 Commerce Avenue, Hollywood MD.
