Communities surrounding the Patuxent River Naval Air Station are advised that noise-generating night-time testing events are scheduled to take place Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17.
Night-time test events are scheduled from 11 p.m.-3 a.m. Pilots at Pax will be testing and training for realistic night flight scenarios offshore. Night testing and training is essential for the precision and safety of our military men and women and the success of their mission.
Residents may notice increased noise levels due to these operations.
As with all operations, NAS Patuxent River takes precautions to lessen the impact of testing activities on the community.
