LEXINGTON PARK, Md. –
As the sun sets on 2017, we’re reflecting on what has been a historic year at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum. We’ve had astronauts visit to sign our space shuttle model, a USNTPS Class 71 reunion, and a fun but exhausting display at the Joint Base Andrews Air Show. Our flight line has been an amazingly busy place this year.

We hosted all kinds of emergency apparatus during our Police/Fire/Rescue Day, packed in muscle cars for the car show, and welcomed the arrival of the EA-6B Prowler. We even hosted Wonder Woman’s jet for a few days!ย  For a few months in the late summer, the museum was adorned with the beautiful artwork of Mary Edna Fraser. We welcomed over 24,000 visitors this year to and couldn’t have made any of this happen without the tireless dedication of our staff, docents, simulator operators, and every other volunteer that has had a hand in making 2017 so incredible.

THANKS EVERYONE!
