On Sunday morning, Nov. 11, fire and EMS units from the Lexington Park Rescue Squad, Bay District station 3 and the St. Mary’s County Advanced Life Support Unit were dispatched to
Harrison Streetin Great Mills for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
The EMS crew requested a medevac and took the patient to ChancellorsRunRegionalPark where Maryland State Police Trooper 6 transported the male patient to a trauma center.
UPDATE INFORMATION FROM THE ST. MARY’S COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
On Nov 11 at approx. 9:28 am, police responded to Stallman subdivision for the report of a pedestrian lying face down on Harrison street great mills. Patrol units from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and sufficient evidence existed that the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle that had not remained at the scene for police response. Information from anyone who may have been in the area of Harrison Street near Great Mills Road between the hours of 9:15 and 9:28 a.m. and may have seen a dark metallic red or maroon vehicle is asked to contact Crimesolvers at 301-475-3333 or text CRIMES (274637), then type TIP 239 and the information.
