LANHAM, MD —ย On May ๏ปฟ14, PGPD Homicide Unit detectives arrested a Lanham man for murdering his father at their home on Saturday night.
According to the report, Montey Anthony, 42, allegedly murdered his father, Kenneth Williams, 64. ย Both men lived in the 8000 block of Greenfield Drive.
On May 7th, at about 8:30 pm, patrol officers were called to Greenfield Drive for the report of an assault. They found Williams in his home suffering from trauma to the body. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.
The preliminary investigation reveals Anthony assaulted his father during an argument, causing the fatal injuries. The suspect used a baseball bat in the attack. He has admitted his involvement in the homicide.
Anthony is charged with first and second degree murder and assault charges.ย
