
Leonardtown, MD โ A Ford pickup truck was deliberately set on fire Thursday morning, June 30 in St. Maryโs County, state investigators reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshalโs Office, the torched truck was discovered by a passing motorist shortly after 2 a.m. on Friendship School Road in Leonardtown.
โThe abandoned vehicle was found burning in the middle of the roadway,โ a fire marshalโs report stated. โThe investigation revealed the fire was intentionally set.โ
The Ford F150 pickup was owned by Ralph Ernst, state investigators reported.
Damage was estimated at $15,000. Four firefighters were dispatched and put the flames out in five minutes. There were no injuries reported.
No arrests have been made. Anyone who has information that might aid investigators is asked to call the Maryland State Fire Marshalโs Office at 443-550-6833.
