Nineteen Longaberger consultants hosted their third annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon on Sunday at the J.T. Daugherty Conference Center in Lexington Park. Proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Group of Southern Maryland to help local patients deal with the costs of cancer treatment.

Last year we raised $5,500, said Denise Pietsch,” a Longaberger consultant. โ€œThis year we hope to raise even more.โ€

Luncheon guests enjoyed chicken marsala, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans almondine, salad and for dessert, a stunning chocolate and white cake decorated with pink ribbons and donated by Antitaโ€™s Wedding Cake Co. of Great Mills.

Longaberger consultants work for an Ohio company that provides baskets and rod iron products. Every month the company features a specialty basket. In August and July, the Horizon for Hope Basket is sold in support of cancer victims.
