09/01/05 at 10:11 pm:ย ย Joseph Sylvester Thompson, 50, of Mechanicsville was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.ย ย TFC Linger was patrolling Lawrence Hayden Road, Hollywood, when he observed a vehicle at the dead end with the lights off.ย ย TFC Linger made contact with the vehicleโs two occupants.ย ย Mr. Thompson was identified as the driver.ย ย The passenger was a 26 year old female.ย ย The passenger appeared extremely impaired and could barely speak.ย ย Mr. Thompson couldnโt advise why his lights were off.ย ย Mr. Thompson admitted to contraband in the vehicle and retrieved a plastic smoking device from under the driverโs seat.ย ย Further investigation revealed that the passenger was attempting to conceal cocaine in between her fingers.ย ย Mr. Thompson was taken to the detention center for processing.ย ย Due to the passengers condition she was taken to St. Maryโs Hospital for treatment.ย ย Charges are pending against the passenger.
09/03/05 at 7:09 pm:ย ย James Bobbie Lee Carter, 44, of Leonardtown was arrested and charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. Mr. Carter had been told the previous day not to come into the establishment because of his disorderly conduct.ย ย ย Mr. Carter, who was intoxicated, entered Centere Liquors and became disorderly.ย ย ย ย When service was refused he started yelling obscenities and verbally threatening the owner and his wife.ย ย Sgt. Breck, off-duty, arrived on the scene and attempted to detain Mr. Carter for investigative purposes.ย ย Mr. Carter then pushed Sgt. Breck and then resisted arrest.ย ย Apprehension was made by Sgt. Breck.ย ย No injuries to either subject.ย ย TFC Linger responded and completed with investigation.
09/04/05 at 1:39 am:ย ย Dewon Antanio Dyson, 24, of Lexington Park was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and DUI.ย ย Mr. Dyson was stopped at Rt 235 and Mervell Dean Rd, Hollywood for weaving in two lanes.ย ย He was arrested for DUI.ย ย During a search of his vehicle TFC Linger located a plastic straw containing suspected cocaine under the driverโs seat.
09/04/05 at 11:35 pm:ย ย Kenneth Ray Chewning Sr., 41, of Chaptico and Ed Suander Lyon, 46, of Clements
Both suspects were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.ย ย TFC Linger stopped a vehicle for speeding on Kavanagh Road at Laurel Grove Road, Loveville.ย ย The driver, Mr. Lyon, advised TFC Linger that he doesnโt have a license and his privilege is suspended.ย ย A Motor Vehicle Administration check confirmed this.ย ย Mr. Lyon was placed under arrested for driving while suspended.ย ย A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana in the center console.ย ย Mr. Lyon and the passenger, Mr. Chewning, were arrested and charged with the CDS violations.

On 09/02/05 at 10:24 pm TFC Linger responded to a residence in Mechanicsville for an attempted to locate.ย ย Contact was made with Christian Joseph Cody, 22, of Mechanicsville.ย ย A NCIC/MILES check revealed that Mr. Cody had an open warrant through Charles County Sheriffโs Department and Minnesota.ย ย The warrant was confirmed as active and Minnesota authorities advised that they will extradite.ย ย Mr. Cody was served with the Charles County warrant.ย ย When the charges through Charles County are
