A little before 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25 in Loveville near the Third Base convenience store, St. Maryโs County Deputy Sheriff K-9 DFC Elizabeth Trossbach spotted a pick-up traveling at a high rate of speed and crossing road lines. The DFC Trossbach turned around to give chase. The vehicle turned onto a dirt road and ended up flipping the vehicle and fled on foot.
ย Other units were called to the scene to assist in the search. Deputies were concerned for the subjectโs safety and well-being after the accident. The subject was later found in a cornfield after a lengthy search by responding deputies. He was, bleeding from a large laceration on the back of his head.
ย Trooper 7 was called in for a possible MediVac, At the time, Trooper 7 was out of service and Trooper 2 out of Andrews Air Force based responded to the scene.
ย The suspect, Michael King, 35 was transported to PG Shock Trauma. King will be charged with DWI, fleeing and eluding and has other outstanding warrants.
