Police detain suspect after hit and run with county bus

UPDATE: Shortly after the crash, law enforcement located and detained the hit and run suspect. Reports say that one subject involved in the accident suffered injury and was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – On January 12 at 1:14 p.m., TheBayNet.com received word of an accident located on Pegg Road near Spring Valley Drive of Lexington Park. The crash is said to have been a two vehicle collision involving a county transportation bus. After the crash, the second vehicle drove away from the scene. Pegg Road is temporarily closed as crews work the scene. 

Police are investigating. Expect delays.
