At 1:30 a.m. Sept. 8, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the Elks Lodge located at 12445 Rock Point Road in Newburg for the report of an assault in progress.
Upon arrival, officers located an injured 25-year-old Indian Head man in the parking lot. He was transported to Prince George’s Hospital Center by a Maryland State Police helicopter.
Investigation revealed a fight had occurred but the witnesses could not provide additional details.
