St. Mary’s County BCI detectives obtained an arrest warrant on Sept 25 for Antonio Warren Gantt, 40 of St. Leonard, for the Sept. 24 bank robbery of the Maryland Bank and Trust on South Shangri La Drive in Lexington Park.
Gantt’s whereabouts are currently unknown and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 301 475-3333.
St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron said the attentiveness of the business community in Lexington Park led to Gantt’s quick identification.
“The B-Alert business group is greatly responsible for helping identify the suspect,” Cameron told The Bay Net.
B-Alert is an association of Lexington Park businesses in the Great Mills Road area that meet every few months with police and other officials to discuss security and future community development in the neighborhood.
“Right now we don’t know where he is,” Cameron said of Gantt. “We know he’s not at home, so we’re hoping the public can help us.”
