Monday afternoon, shortly before rush hour, a call was made to emergency services from a concerned citizen who witnessed a passenger in a Chevrolet Malibu displaying some sort of handgun.
Officers in the area responded to the call and began a search for the suspect vehicle. Once an officer located the vehicle, the Malibu immediately pulled into an area parking lot.
During the stop, the suspects exited the vehicle surrendering a BB gun. They communicated to the police they had no deadly weapons in their possession.
Both the driver, who is active military, and the passenger of the vehicle were detained.
Upon further investigation, officers determined no crime had actually been committed. During questioning, the pair of clowns admitted to shooting each other driving down the road. In the struggle, one of the suspects attempted to keep the gun from the other by holding it out the window. Because carrying a loaded BB gun in Maryland is not against the law and the officers did not have a victim, the suspects were released on the scene.
