A victim in Huntingtown reported to Det. Christopher Parsons that in February 2005 he had paid $20,000 to Rodney Lewis of T and R Marine, operating out of Montgomery Village, to purchase two new engines for his 33 foot Chris Craft boat.
The victim advised that Lewis had called him in June 2005 to say that the new engines had arrived and were being stored at the Skinners Turn Road Self Storage facility.
The victim met with Lewis on June 14, 2005 and saw the engines in the storage unit. That is the last time the victim has seen or heard from Lewis. All attempts by the victim to contact him have gone unanswered.
Det. Parsons executed a search and seizure warrant on March 14, 2006 at the storage unit rented by Lewis and released the two engines to the victim. The victim does not wish to pursue charges at this time.
