UPDATE – March 17, 4:21 p.m. – On March 16, 2016, at approximately 9:00 A.M., deputies from the St. Maryโs County Sheriffโs Office responded to an assault on the 46000 block of Lucca Way in Lexington Park. Upon arrival, one adult female victim was found suffering from multiple injuries, including a stab wound to her torso. The victim was transported via Maryland State Police Helicopter โTrooper 7โ to Prince Georgeโs County Shock Trauma, where her injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Detectives and Crime Lab Technicians from the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) responded and assumed the investigation, which revealed the assault stemmed from a domestic-related dispute.
A suspect, Nicole Tanya Middleton, age 29, of California, MD, was quickly identified by detectives. The investigation determined Middleton did not live at the victimโs residence and had arrived uninvited prior to the assault. Shortly after her arrival, a physical fight ensued during which she produced a knife and stabbed the victim. Middleton fled the scene prior to police arrival and was unable to be located.
On March 17, 2016, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division located Middleton and transported her to the St. Maryโs County Detention Center. She was charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and Trespassing.

Update– March. 16, 2:55 p.m.- The stabbing investigation is still on-going and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are trying to locate a possible suspect.
The stabbing is an isolated incident and appears to be domestic related. A press release from the Criminal Investigations Division will be sent out when the information becomes available.
UPDATE โ March 16, 9:58 a.m. – The victim, a 30 year old female, is being transported via Trooper 7 to Prince Georgeโs County Shock Trauma for multiple stab wounds.
Lexington Park, MD – On March 16, 2016, at approximately 9:30 A.M., deputies from the St. Maryโs County Sheriffโs Office responded a stabbing in the area of Lucca Way in Lexington Park.
Detectives and Crime Lab Technicians from the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) are currently en-route to the scene. The investigation is ongoing and more details will be provided as they become available.
