Bank robbery suspect captured on video surveillance

UPDATE: Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m.:

Charlotte Hall, MD — St. Maryโ€™s County Control Center on Oct. 15 at 9:10 a.m. simulcast a bank robbery atย  PNC Bank, located at 37650 Oak Station Road in Charlotte Hall. Troopers from the Leonardtown Barrack and deputies from the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office arrived and secured the scene.ย 

Investigators from Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Central South Region and MSP Forensic Science Division responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.ย  Investigation revealed shortly after 9 a.m. an African American male entered the PNC Bank and demanded money (no weapon was displayed).ย  Once an undisclosed amount of currency was obtained from the bankโ€™s employees, the African American male fled the scene on foot.ย  No injuries were sustained during the robbery.

The African American male was dressed in all black clothing, medium height and medium build with a band aide across his nose and had a mustache with a goatee.
St. Mary’s County Sheriffโ€™s Office assisted with securing the scene and obtaining initial investigation details.

The FBI and the St. Maryโ€™s County States Attorneyโ€™s Office are currently assisting with the investigation.

Charlotte Hall, MD – Police in St. Mary’s County are investigating a robbery that occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 at PNC Bank in Charlotte Hall.

A spokesman at the Maryland State Police (MSP) Barrack in Leonardtown said officers are looking for a lone suspect, a black male wearing all dark clothing. No injuries occurred as a result of the incident.

Police have not yet determined if any money was actually taken during the incident. Investigators are still at the scene.

At 9:10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 15 St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office units responded to the PNC bank in Charlotte Hall for a robbery. More details will be released as they become available.
