On Oct. 4, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a blue Jeep sport utility vehicle was traveling southbound in the area of Maryland Route 2 and Skinners Turn Road when an unknown make and model silver sedan driven by an African-American male veered into the oncoming lane of traffic.
The silver sedan struck the Jeep in a head-on collision and immediately fled the scene down Skinners Turn Road. The pregnant driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital for evaluation. During the investigation deputies canvased the scene and located two witnesses to the incident who provided information about the silver sedan that fled the scene of the hit and run.
