In addition to the previously announced public buildings available for use as cooling centers today and through the weekend, the Potomac Branch of the Charles County Public Library (located at 3225 Ruth B. Swann Drive in Indian Head) has reopened and is available for use as a cooling center. The Potomac Branch was temporarily closed due to problems with the air conditioning, but repairs have been made, and the branch will reopen for normal business hours (Friday 1-5 PM, Saturday 9AM – 5PM).
