What started as a simple process-improvement plan led to an acquisition program manager here being recognized with a 2013 Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) commander’s award.
Presented to Patricia “Trish” Butler during the annual NAWCAD Commander’s Awards and Innovation Awards ceremony Dec. 18 at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., the Individual Business Excellence honor acknowledges employees who contribute to excellence and teamwork in the workplace, while supporting the goals and objectives of the command.
Identifying a need for acquisition-protocol overhaul, Butler, who works for the Naval Aviation Training Systems Program Office (PMA-205), conceived, launched and spearheaded the development of an innovative approach that streamlined the process for more than 820 legacy training-systems products.
