What started as a simple process-improvement plan led to an acquisition program manager here being recognized with a 2013ย Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD)ย commanderโ€™s award.

Presented to Patricia โ€œTrishโ€ Butler during the annual NAWCAD Commanderโ€™s Awards and Innovation Awards ceremony Dec. 18 at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., the Individual Business Excellence honor acknowledges employees who contribute to excellence and teamwork in the workplace, while supporting the goals and objectives of the command.

Identifying a need for acquisition-protocol overhaul, Butler, who works for theย Naval Aviation Training Systems Program Office (PMA-205), conceived, launched and spearheaded the development of an innovative approach that streamlined the process for more than 820 legacy training-systems products.
