At 4:20 pm on Friday, January 12, TFC Linger was patrolling on Route 5 in Mechanicsville when he observed a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice.ย  The driver, James Thomas Goble, Jr., 23, of Mechanicsville, was not restrained by the seat belt and the windshield was cracked.ย 

A routine traffic stop was initiated for the equipment violations.ย  A strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle.ย 

Further investigation revealed a glass CDS smoking device was located in the vehicle.ย  Mr. Goble was arrested and transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center in Leonardtown pending a bond review.
