(SYKESVILLE, MD) — Maryland State Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a teenager who is wanted for escape after he walked away from his court-committed treatment location in Carroll County.ย 

The escapee is identified as Melvin M. Brown, 18, who is known to frequent Baltimore, Severn, Glen Burnie, and Hanover, Md.ย  He is an African American male, approximately 6’1″, 160 lbs., with numerous tattoos on his arms.ย  He also has two distinctive tattoos on his forehead and tattoos on both sides of his neck.ย 

Brown had been court-committed to the Springfield Hospital Center in the 6600-block of Sykesville Road.ย  On the morning of May 3, 2017, he walked off from the facility.ย  A search for him has been underway since, but he remains at-large.ย 

Brown is wanted on an arrest warrant for second degree escape.ย  There are also two open warrants for him in juvenile court in Anne Arundel County.ย ย ย
