At 2:15 a.m. Aug. 23, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Comfort Suites on Business Park Drive in Waldorf for the report of a hold-up alarm.
Investigation revealed the clerk, a 23-year-old Waldorf man, saw a man with a gun walk up to the locked front door of the business and attempt to enter. The clerk activated the hold-up alarm and fled the front desk area.
The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival. The suspect is described as a black male who weighs 210 pounds and is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspect fled the scene in a late model Buick four-door vehicle, possibly gold in color.
