Lexington Park, MD – Randy Guy is the incumbent for St. Maryโs County commissioners’ president and is seeking his second term. Guy was born in Leonardtown and grew up working at his familyโs business in Ridge. He served 26 years in the Air Force and had a stint with the St. Maryโs County Sheriffโs Department during a break in service. Guy went on to open a small business, Southern Maryland Pools and Spa, and has become active in local politics since retirement.

Some of Guyโs accomplishments while on the board include a lowering of property taxes, securing the building of a new library/senior center, acquiring Snowhill Farms for public access to recreation and waterfront, school safety funding, and adherence to the economic development plan, working to diversify the countyโs economy.ย
