On the morning of August 15th between 1:30am-3:30 am, my vehicle which was broken down on the side of 235 in Dameron, MD andย was burgarlized. Approximately 1:15 am, the vehicle broke down and it was able to be safely parked on the shoulder of 235 out of the flow of traffic and locked. Upon my return to my vehicle at approximately 3:30 am to have the vehicle towed, my husband and I discovered damage to my vehicle, which at one point we thought someone had hit it with their vehicle or a deer had hit it. Upon getting out of our vehicle for further inspection we discovered the driver’s side window had been broken out, the rear windshield had been broken out, the front windshield had been cracked all the way through, as well as dents on the passenger side of the vehicle, which was consistent with some sort of blunt object. Other damage to the vehicle includes 2 slashed tires on the drivers side and spray paint splatter on the vehicle. There was also blood on the trunk and the roof of the vehicle. I contacted the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s department, who came out and took the report. The officer that responded attempted to fingerprint the vehicle to no avail. The blood was unable to be sampled. As of this time, we have no witnesses or suspects. If anyone was in the area of Rt. 235 and Global Village Drive in Dameron between 1:30 and 3:30 am on Sunday August 15,2010 and saw or heard anything, please contact the St. Mary’s County Sheriffs Department at 301-475-4200. Thank you.
