Last Illusion Show of The School Year!
DON’T MISS THIS ONE, Reggie Rice and Leonardtown High School band booster’s team up again to help raise money for the student and provide an award winning show at the same time. The financial support that LHS Band Boosters receives limited and less than the cost of the Organization. So it relies on amazing volunteer and help from the community and school fundraisers. So it’s time for the SuperMagicMan to put his illusions to work for the community. In association with the LHS Band Boosters, the SuperMagicMan is hosting a full evening of illusion; we need your help and support. This is a show you will be talking about long after the curtain comes down, a unique, high-energy experience to bring families, friends and neighbors together for a truly wonder filled evening.
Each year LHS student musicians, color guard, and band members, work tirelessly to prepare for many events. In the 2012-13 school years alone the band programs have:
-Marching Band performed at five home football games, eight competitions in Maryland and Pennsylvania as well as the local parades for Veteran’s Day, St. Mary’s County Fair, & the Blessing of the Fleet.
-Marching Band earned 6th place in Group II A at the US Bands National Competition. They earned a score of 91.35 which is the highest score for a Leonardtown Marching band in program history.
-The Symphonic Band/Wind Ensemble earned a Superior Rating at the District IV Band Assessment and qualified for participation at the Maryland State Assessment.
– Students of the Band Program earned Superior Ratings at the District IV Solo and Ensemble Festival and qualified to perform at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival.
