On May 20, 2011 Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations Sex Offender Unit began an investigation into the residency of registered sex offender Wayne Jones, 26 who was registered as residing in California Maryland. The investigation revealed Jones was actually living at a residence in Calvert County, Maryland. Jones had not provided the change of address information to the sex offender registry. On May 27, 2011 Jones was apprehended by detectives from the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations Sex Offender Unit with the assistance of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.
