Charles County middle school students can now register to participate in the high school prep basketball league and cheer program. While representing their school, this competitive basketball league and cheer program is designed to prepare middle school students for high school level athletics.
There will be an eight-game regular season with playoffs. All games and practices will be on weeknights with the exception of the postseason tournament. Players can only play at the middle school community center that they currently attend. Students attending private school must play for the center in their appropriate school zone.
This program is open to all Charles County students in grades sixth through eighth for the 2015-2016 school year. Divisions include the following:

·Seventh grade boys prep basketball
·Eighth grade boys prep basketball
·Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade girls prep basketball
·Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade prep cheer
