Rescue operations underway in large D.C. apartment fire

WASHINGTON D.C. – Sept. 19, around 4:00 p.m., crews responded to a 5-story apartment building fire on 900 5th Street near the Navy Yard in southeast D.C.

Reports say the fire is heavily involved in the top floor and roof of the building. Firefighters are working to evacuate the occupants from the building. 

No injuries have been reported at this time.
