Hollywood, MD – The Hollywood Rescue Squad hosted their annual Easter egg hunt and festival for Easter on Saturday March 26. It was a huge turnout and kids up to the age of 12 got to collect Easter eggs outside which contained candy and money. The child who collected the most eggs received a prize as well.

Refreshments were provided such as punch, lemonade and cookies. Games played included a bunny toss, Velcro sticky ball game and musical chairs.

Children got to participate in Easter egg dying and getting their faces painted.ย

Most importantly the Easter Bunny showed up to pose for pictures. Families stood in line to get a quick snap of their children with him, a wonderful way to commemorate the day.

JoAllen Mattingly of the Rescue Squad Auxiliary said, โ€œI love children. I love what this event is all about. The donations collected at this event will go right back into the squad to help the community.โ€

Greg Whitman, an ambulance EMT driver, wanted to note that โ€œWeโ€™re always about having fun and helping people.โ€

Children left with prizes, eggs, candy and faces fully painted. It was a great way to kick off the holiday weekend and the Hollywood Rescue Squad was very satisfied with the event.
