Waldorf, MD September 12,— The formula was simple for the Revolution.ย  They employed timely hitting, and clutch pitching from their bullpen that sent the Revolution to the 9-6 victory over Southern Maryland.

Southern Maryland down 1-0 heading into the bottom of the third, took the lead for the first time in the game on the two run homerun by Reggie Abercrombie.ย  In the bottom of the fourth, Grant Zawadzki, and Casey Frawley both drove in runs with RBI singles to bring the score to a 4-1 Blue Crabs lead.ย 

The Revolution fought their way back, scoring six unanswered runs over the next two innings.ย  Eric Patterson highlighted the scoring in the top of the fifth with an RBI single.ย  In the top of the sixth, York scored four runs on five hits, while sending ten men to the plate.ย  With two runners on base Luis De La Cruz singled in Brandon Boggs.ย  Eric Patterson, and Wilson Valdez each contributed with a Sacrifice Fly, and an RBI single to make it 7-4 in favor of the Revolution.

Southern Maryland cut the lead to 7-6 with two runs in the seventh, but the Revolution added two insurance runs in the top of the ninth to bring the score to itsโ€™ final of 9-6.

Yorkโ€™s bullpen held the Blue Crabs to just two runs scored tonight.ย  LHP Frank Gailey settled in nicely picking up the victory, going five innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits, while striking out four.ย  RHP Josh Judy set down the Blue Crabs in order 1-2-3 in the bottom of the ninth.ย  Offensively Telvin Nash hit his ninth homerun of the season, while also scoring two runs, and drawing three walks.ย  Wilson Valdez and Luis De La Cruz each had two hits as well.

The rubber matchup of the series takes place tomorrow at Regency Furniture Stadium.ย  The first pitch is set for 5:05 P.M.ย  It is the final home game of the 2015 regular season.
