At 10:55 p.m. on March 28, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to an alarm at Beantown Shell, located at 3620 Mattawoman-Beantown Road in Waldorf.
Investigation revealed a man entered the business, implied he was in possession of a handgun, and demanded the money in the cash register. The clerk complied and the suspect then fled on foot.
The man is described as a black male between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 145 and 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark corduroy jacket, dark knit hat and black shoes.
