Chesapeake Beach, MD –
As one female fan from Lothian said of the group Slippery When Wet, “when you close your eyes, you swear you’re listening to Bon Jovi.”

The Southeastern, USA-based band Slippery When Wet-The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute returned to the dock at Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa Thursday, June 9. While the show was a little late in getting started, the crowd—which came by land and bay—stayed around for the ultimate tribute party.

The group, which takes its name from Bon Jovi’s acclaimed 1986 collection, was formed back in 2003. It seems the group’s front man, Jason Morey, was frequently mistaken for Jon Bon Jovi. Over a dozen years later, the crew is still paying homage to Bon Jovi in locations like the Carolinas, Virginia Beach, West Virginia, Baltimore and Cincinnati.

The resort and spa’s Rock the Dock series of outdoor shows features many original artists but Thursdays belong to the tribute artists and bands. Coming up June 16, ‘Live at the Fillmore,’ and Allman Brothers tribute band is scheduled to play from 7 to 9 p.m. On June 30 “All My Rowdy Friends,” a Hank Williams Jr. tribute artist, is booked.
