A rookie to the premier 450 Motocross Class, Ryan Dungey, on his Rockstar/Makita Suzuki, extended his winning streak outdoors this weekend. Ryan took first place overall in the 450 Class with a third in the first moto and a first in the second moto. The third place finish in moto number one was despite going down in a rutted turn, and having to shed his goggles three laps into the race. Without goggles Dungey would not be able to make the pass for second, do to getting blasted with dirt and rocks from the back tire of Mike Alessi. Alessi would go on to hold down the second place spot for that moto.ย
ย
Honda Red Bull Racingโs Andrew Short, took the holeshot for moto number one and maintained the lead for the entire thirty-minute, plus two-lap moto, earning his first moto victory of the season. The second moto of the day started much the same, with Shortโs Honda out front. Only this time he could not hold off a determined Dungey for more than four laps. Andrew would end the second moto in fifth place and come out with a second place finish for the day.

The Australian Chad Reed, racing for the Monster Energy Kawasaki Team, would finish out the top three for the day after getting a fourth and second in the two moto format, where point totals are combined to get the overall standings for the day.
