UPDATE: 9/25/12 at 3:45 p.m: Early Tuesday afternoon, fire and EMS units from Lexington Park were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of Point Lookout Road and Willows Road.
The vehicles blocked the north bound lane.
The fire units were cancelled when it was determined they were not needed. However, an EMS unit continued in to treat one of the vehicle occupants.
The female patient was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital while Maryland State Police officers remained on the scene.
Route 5 at Willows Road is blocked due to a two-vehicle accident. One person has been transported by ambulance to the hospital. We have a reporter on the scene and will have more information as soon as it is available
