Update Nov. 13, 10:00 a.m.

On Nov. 11, 5:17 p.m., crews responded to the 28500 Lockes Hill Road, Mechanicsville for the report of structure.

Units from the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department arrived to discover a RV in a fully involved fire. Crews were able to control the fire in ten minutes but the structure was completely destroyed. The cost of damage is estimated to be $5,000.

Investigation revealed that the fire originated from inside the structure. No injures were reported from the fire and the cause is under investigation.ย Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office, at 443-550-6834.


Update from the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department

Just after 5:15 p.m. on Sunday evening Company 2 and surrounding stations were alerted for the trailer fire at 28579 Lockes Hills Road in Mechanicsville.

Engine 23 arrived on the scene with a working trailer fire, stretched the 400′ attack line and established Command until the arrival of Captain 2A. The assignment was quickly scaled back to units from Company 2, Tanker 1002 and Ambulance 299.

Units worked for approximately one hour and 45 minutes completing overhaul.

The Fire Marshall was requested to the scene.


MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – Nov. 11, approximately 5:30 p.m., crews responded to Lockes Hill Road and Three Notch Road, Mechanicsville for the report of a structure fire.ย 

Reports say the incident was a fully involved trailer fire that shut down Lockes Hill Road in the area of the fire.ย 

Police advise motorists to avoid the area. An investigation my the Office of the State Fire Marshal is pending.ย
