Callaway, MD – A recreational vehicle was destroyed by fire in St. Mary’s County Sunday, April 14, state investigators reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, the incident happened on Piney Point Road in Callaway at approximately 5:17 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Investigators said the blaze, which originated inside the camper, was discovered by a neighbor. Six firefighters brought the flames under control in 10 minutes.
The owner of the Wildwood Camper is identified as Johnny Archer.
The fire remains under investigation and anyone with information that could aid investigators is asked to contact the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Southern Regional Office 443-550-6831.
