Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, Maryland, announces the Annmaire Garden In Lights schedule for this holiday season. The walk-through event will be held from December 5, 2014 through January 3, 2015, 6-9pm nightly. Garden In Lights will be closed on December 8, 9, 10, 24, and 25. The admission for ages 5 and older is $6.00, children younger than 5, as well as Annmarie Members are FREE. A dollar-off coupon is available online.
One of Southern Maryland’s holiday traditions, Annmarie Garden In Lights, will be stepping it up this year with more one-of-a-kind light sculptures. The garden will use more LED lights that provide rich, vivid colors and are much more efficient when compared to incandescent lighting. Be sure to walk through the wooded path and experience all the brilliant vignettes of famous people, places and, of course, works of art! Don’t forget to peek around the trees and look for hidden treasures. With the introduction of LED lighting, some of the colors are so clear that visitors are sure to be thrilled with each turn of the path revealing a new story.
Start your tour in the Murray Arts Building where you will also find the Ornament Show & Sale, nightly entertainment, exhibits, and the Hardesty Haven Holiday Cafe. Don’t forget to ask for a “Holiday I Spy” program. This year, the “Holiday I Spy” game will feature a green shamrock hidden in each vignette. Try to find all the shamrocks!
