Striped Rock in Solomons
Solomons, MD – Itโ€™s the first weekend of spring and Saturday, March 25 looks like it will be ideal for a visit to Solomons Island. With many restaurants which one should you choose? Thanks to an annual event that has been growing in popularity the past 17 years, you can pretty much choose them all.

According to the host organizationโ€”the Solomons Business Association (SBA)–The Taste of Solomons โ€œis a one day food festival showcasing the many wonderful places to eat in this wonderful waterfront community.โ€

Proceeds from the event help fund SBAโ€™s annual spectacular fireworks display on Independence Day.

โ€œThe Taste of Solomons provides the community a way to sample and enjoy a waterfront town during the spring season,โ€ stated event co-chair Christopher Donaldson.

Tickets are $4 each and may be purchased at any of the 18 participating businesses and at Berkshire Hathaway McNelis Group Properties across from the Solomons Island Gazebo.

The participating businesses will be serving such local delicacies as beef tacos, rockfish bites, fried shrimp, oyster stew, lobster mac and cheese, gumbo, spinach and sausage ravioli, cheese and crab dip, peanut butter pie, ribs and cream of crab soup.
Many of the restaurants are participating in a gift certificate prize program. Some of the tickets at each location will be designated as prize winners. The lucky ticketholder will be awarded a gift certificate for future use at that restaurant.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
