Leonardtown, MD – Seniors 50+ are invited to attend a SMART Medicine presentation, hosted by the St. Mary’s County Department of Aging and Human Services, on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the Loffler Senior Activity Center. The presentation will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
SMART Medicine is a local campaign designed to generate awareness for the rising issue of opioid misuse and abuse. The program is also a source of information and resources regarding the safe management and disposal of prescription medications.
The Department of Aging and Human Services looks forward to meeting with community members to share our knowledge and resources. We are committed to ensuring prescription medication is used only to help, not harm.
